1: Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth

5: Demonstrate the skills and recognise the benefits of working collaboratively

For international day, I participated in the parade, preparing the flags and wearing our country's traditional costume to represent our cultural identity. For last few years, I haven't had opportunity to wear Korean traditional costume, so I was glad to participate in this parade. Before the parade, groups of students including me had to prepare for the flags used in the parade. While many of the flags are familiar, we did not recognize some of the flags or its details. We had to learn again about each country's flags, so that we could match the flag with the country and present it correctly (as some of the printed flags were incorrect or was upside-down). On the day, with each students wearing their own costume and walking around the school, the parade gave me insight of cultural diversity of our school community, as well as being a good opportunity to show them.
